Harriet Lawson - Repertoire & Vocal Coach

Although trained in England she has spent most of her working life as a répétiteur in Italy; At the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, and the Teatro Piccolo (Strehler) in Milano, touring China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan Russia and Spain.


For six years she was Maestro di Sala and Maestro al cembalo/fortepiano at the Rossini Opera festival in Pesaro.

She also worked at the Théâtre de l’Opéra de Bordeaux, with L’Orchestra Verdi di Milano, with Glyndebourne, Radio France and Radio Suisse.


She has twice been Music director for the Chiltern Shakespeare Company.


Her concert work as an accompanist has taken her all over Europe and in a teaching/coaching capacity she has worked with the Britten Pears School in Aldeburgh, the Solti Peretti Masterclasses in Italy, for 10 years with the Walton Foundation Summer master classes in Ischia, “The Actor in Opera” and for 30 years, the Accademia Lirica di Osimo. This is her second year with the London Bel Canto Festival.
